Bank Support Function Average Promotion Cycle Hi all, Would like to seek for everyone's advice here. I have been with this small foreign bank in Singapore performing internal consulting role for 3 years, just had my 1-1 session with my boss few weeks ago and were informed that no promotion for me for this year due to bell curve and quotas available. The slight disappointment feeling still stuck in my head despite I do not wish to hope for much miracle this year. But needless to say my performance has been consistently above average in the past 3 years and it is recognisable by other colleagues in other departments Hence, question is, after 3 years as Manager, should I still continue to work for this organisation, or I should start looking for higher position at other banks in hope to jump out and up at the same time? I'm concerned that 4 years may be too long in this organisation and I may not have the capability to move around that much anymore as my age goes by. Thanks for all the tips and comments. |
