For more accurate suggestion, it would be better if you can share your YoE and current corporate title?

it is obvious.. especially now that other biz depts are forming their own internal IT teams within their depts to handle their own biz reqs.. the qth - mgmt dont see an issue with it.

Poor TG, from an innocent enquiry from new prospect, now the arrow turn to their direction. Actually don’t u think the above comments can also apply to projects and requests involving stakeholder from other BU, say corp side for the sake of example

No idea, but their usual excuses - not enough manpower, resource constraints.

Which depts are not facing manpower and resource constraints? It is the same everywhere. Not to mention, they have the most number of headcounts.

But nothing is done by the TG grp.

Now you are VP? any team lead position?

Not impossible to match, but imo more likely to start at DD1 than DD2. They start you at DD2 you have no room to allow for promotion. Most DDs stay as DDs unless boss think you are exceptional, so patience and ability to accept what cannot be changed are important traits. Joining as a relatively young “senior officer” grade, how your experience will fit into MAS style is still untested, no very strong reason to start new recruit on higher DD grade unless you have some proven management experience. Or the department you interviewing for is in need of team lead. Do note banking team lead is not walk in the park

Please also note these are informal views as here is not HR, your interview panel may well give you a different view.
