It's long due any way

It's a known fact that Yahoo has not been doing good once Google started dominating the Ad market. Just like Palm, Pocket PC, Blackberry, Microsoft !???!, Yahoo's time has come to reinvent itself. Tech industry as such benefits with the new players, thus new technology. You never get bored with the new technology. Win-win for the industry and its people.

Booming tech industry?

I believe that most of us have the impression that the tech industry is booming recently, with the constant development of mega firms such as apple, microsoft, google, facebook, etc.
With the recent $1 billion take over instagram, and apple's continuous innovation and popularity, shows us that there is indeed immense potential in this field.

But is that so?

Recently i read this article about employees in Sony and Yahoo facing a problem of retrenchment to grapple with the declining earnings of the firm.
Which puzzels me.
