No need try to stir sai or stir resentment against ACCA members

ISCA would have thought of all these

They already close the loop for ACCA members who try to game system by jumping to ICAEW then jumping to ISCA Before even signing RMA with ICAEW

Now we are asking local uni grad to chiong scaq w 3 yrs fixated ATO with very limited exemptions, while cpa aust grads just need clear 1 capstone for scaq to get CA sg.
In future, the local uni graduate can be exempt with 2 modules and they can take 2 modules of SCAQ during their university days. So 4 papers gao dim liao

So ok what? After graduating, just join ATO 3 years...then take Capstone paper gao dim liao mah.. settled.

Get ISCA CA liao

Of course those past 11 years local uni graduate suffer lah...no choice mah

Now they realise ACCA members all resigning from audit industry in SME audit since no future to get PA LICENSE...then partner all suffer have to do vouching themselves lol...or the audit cases just keep delaying

Maybe because of COVID?

Cannot be narrow minded lah

U see ISCA Accountancy Hub ....got so many different accounting bodies

Is open to all

ISCA also sign MOU with India and Philippines leh

We are like competing with nearby countries to see who cheaper

Audit job is too easy for them.

Whereas ACCA members like us have no choice but to stay in audit or accounting line leh....Cause ACCA members like us will resign from audit and join accounting if we cannot get our ISCA CA to become ACRA PA

RMA is very common mah

ISCA signed RMA and MRA many years

2004: Mutual Recognition Agreement with CPA Australia
The Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) between ICPAS and CPA Australia was signed in 2004, offering ICPAS Professional Examinations graduates access to foreign membership.

2005: Mutual Recognition Agreement with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
Second MRA with Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) signed.

If acca only need to take 1 capstone then ca sg is really a trash. Dont make sense also because if acca to icaew have a lot more requirements to meet also.

At this point no need to pwn the locals again. They did it 11 years ago now did a u turn for local u and cpa aus. If acca also comes in, i recommend dont take up scaq or study accountancy. This industry is flooded with ppl from developing countries, just like any other job that no local want to do.

The smart move should be step up their game not going u turn. If u are already in accountancy, sux to be u. If u are choosing ur course, for your parent and a self respect to yourself, please dont come to accountancy. Ur parent spent more than 20 years, giving u the best and u worked so hard to be somewhere better, not downgrade yourself to be on par with those that are not that great.

Now they even go primary sch to sell the shyt dream.
I'm ACCA member.

If you look at the history of ISCA, ISCA signed MRA with CPA Australia in 2004 and then signed MRA with ACCA in 2005.

If CPA Australia can sign MRA, why can't sign ACCA?

This audit industry in SME audit rely on ACCA to do fieldwork.

Alot of audit partner could not afford hire local uni grad but work still needs to be done.

Partner in their 40s to 60s need to take care of their children and elderly parents.

They need young people join the audit industry and help them.

But not all young people got local uni degree.

Some go for ACCA.

Please lah...local uni grad so many career options

Can join bank can join financial institutions like JP Morgan

Can join banking sector

Can join public sector

Why just audit or accounting?

Leave these jobs to us ACCA members who doing these jobs everyday

Don't look down on ACCA

don’t forget that in the grand scheme of things no matter how you paint the picture big4 audit quality is also better (although it’s at all time low now), the quality of your learning is also improved.

many times what i observe is intern just wanna get their internship done and dusted. experience is entirely up to you.
Nonsense. Singapore listed co only 1% only. With total cos of 400k plus in singapore. Most b4 job is also transferred to mjd tier. U day dreaming.
As usual high and mighty with no fact.

That's why my original post supposed to be a bit sarcastic. Anyway these are just my opinion.

As for the acca part, may be if you dig dig some posts in Isca ig, there were acca grad asking in comment when will acca get rma/mra. Isca would reply and say something like wait, we have some good news by end of this year. If you are in official Telegram chat if isca scaq, maybe do a search "acca", someone asked the same thing and got the same reply. Cheers! Friday soon! 🙂
You don't support RMA or MRA because you feel MRA and RMA is unfair to local uni graduate.
