mas is prestigious but still lots of red tape. there is no MA programme. everyone is a GO (graduate officer) so it's merit-based, no flashy titles.
culture depends on which team you're in (supervisory, transformation, policy etc), but definitely not as dynamic as private sector.
would say mas is a good balance between govt ministry and mnc, in terms of welfare, benefits, stability, but very boring culture and can be political. definitely less competitive than banks but one of the better tier stat boards.
they accept up to 30 GOs. it's on their website. first round group interview/assessment, then interview with management. that's all.

one last note, the hr is quite bad. they are super slow and unresponsive, and say they are proceeding with your application but 3 months no news (after completing first round). many of my friends were stuck for 2 months before hr got back to them for the next round. by then most of us already found jobs in better institutions.
I think I know which HR you are referring to HAHAHA

Unregistered Big 4 has faster progression but longer working hours. If you are working in M&A team, they will also sponsor your CFA

I heard that the pay for MAS is pretty high at the start but will essentially be overtaken by the big 4s in the future.

Is it also true that it is difficult for people to move on from MAS because the things you're doing at MAS is very niche? And how is the culture like over at MAS? Would it be less competitive than in banks?

Lastly, does anyone know what the interview processes are like at MAS? I heard it is really competitive. Does anyone know what is the average intake per batch?

Thank you all!
