actually even for HR DEGREE fresh grad (no hr exp at all) ,the range is around 1.8 to 2.1k . The reason being HR jobs dont require degree so nowadays, alot employers put education qualifications as o levels/diploma/degree or at most put diploma PLUS few year experience. Thus, they can afford to pay u lesser due to the requirement not needing a degree. You wont be able to find any HR jobs on job portal that says, Degree and no exp required. They dont really advertise fresh grad job. u just have to apply those that states "1 year exp" with diploma in Hr. 2.5 is actually around someone with with hr degree with around 2 year exp. |

Breaking into the HR industry (2 years of non relev. exp) Hi everyone, I would like to hear some thoughts and get some advice on my situation. I graduated with a FCH specializing in materials engineering from a local university. I figured that I did not want to work as an engineer so i joined the healthcare industry in one of the government hospitals upon graduation as an administrator. Currently, I have approximately 2 years of work experience (mainly learning and development for the staff) and my annual package including bonus is approximately 50+k. My experience in learning and develop has piqued my interest in human resources. Hence, I wish to break into the HR industry as a generalist. However, I find it difficult to be shortlisted for an interview, much less secure an offer. Please advise. |
