Will either of you be able to tell me more about transitioning from TS to IBD in a bank or small/mid sized PE shop? I assume there are specific teams within the umbrella of TS that are favoured?

What is the payscale/progression like for TS in a Big 4 in Singapore?

Been offered a graduate role with in a Big 4 TS in the UK. So ideally want to work and experience a couple of years here before moving back home to Singapore.

So far I’ve read that work/life balance is quite similar to NYC. Would you all agree? Anyone worked in both US and Singapore big 4? Pros/cons?

A lot of the posts I’ve seen on compensation mention what the pay is for a college hire or a senior associate. What is it like for a highly rated manager/upcoming senior manager?

Thanks!
I happened to have worked in a big 4 firm in both NYC and SG.

- People here are worked very hard, especially in TS. Very good spirit in the big 4 firm I'm in though.
- Generally much less generous claims / more arduous claims processes here. On my business travel I don't get per diem, only exact amounts with receipts are claimable. Big 4 here are generally very stingy.
- Quality of people in NYC is probably higher/more uniform. Really a diverse pool here.
- I don't think your rating back in NYC really matters. A lot still depends on how you fit in here and can get into the partners' good books.

Good thing is I'm closer to my family and can easily take monthly short holidays to the neighbouring places.
