It’s totally compatible. Earlier post took view “MAS is full of such hypocritical people”. I personally am not sure if it’s to such an extent. My own experience is most people seem ok. If it appears that people say one thing and do another, it could be they’re going along with what boss wants and are afraid to say what they really think. This is different level from the toxic and insecure kind. This type, I have met a couple of very bad examples. Some teams may have more, or some teams may have mostly nice people, so the experience depends on who you work with.

It’s all about the polishing man. Always. Plain old vanilla polishing is not good enough though. Need to polish in all directions including all the various nooks and crannies. Then only will your RO feel shiok!

Agree. Such people often justify their actions by claiming they are maintaining high standards. This discloses a failure to understand what motivates employees to bring their best to work. Other than compensation and job satisfaction, a key factor is how nurturing the work environment is - on this, most peers are ok except those eager to climb and/outdo others in the process, so the quality of the higher ups you report to can make or break the deal!

Lack of empathy towards people.

Is your workload a lot? If you can pang gang at 6pm most of the time, I say no need to be too fixed on the figure. Slightly above or below 10k, the take home will not be much diff. The more they pay you the more they will expect.

Not saying it’s ok to be lowball, but title and salary is a lot about ego than whether u really need that extra cash. Many AD I know work their a** off hoping to be DD only to find it’s not such a huge deal after they are finally promoted. Look at staff directory these days every other person is a DD.
