The talk on the ground from my juniors is that competition for places is still pretty tough - but only for those who are just above average or below. If you are in the top 20% from a local school then you should probably still expect several offers (provided you do decently at interviews). I would therefore study law only if I have the confidence of attaining such standard. PM me if you have further questions.
