What and where are you studying?

The job itself is far from being a "trader" but closer to an ops role from what I can see so far. However the silver lining is you can always learn beyond your jobscope and pick up some trading skills from your other colleagues since there are many forms of "electricity trading". Starting salary is a problem but that is the base, however as greenhorns to the working society we should stay humble and learn, especially when the job market is expected to be really bad in the current new year.

I refer to your post regarding the offer as an executive electricity trader. I am graduating in April next year and was also considering this field. Did you take up the offer? If you did, can you share with me your experience so far and opinion. Thanks. By the way, I agree with you that the compensation seems unfair as the market rate is 3k from fresh grads.


Q1: I am a fresh grad from local uni, didn't do hons, and I am offered 2.7k/mth, with AWS and VB (1-2mths, not sure about this). Do you think this compensation is fair, considering the average is 2.8k~3.0k/mth?
