Recently, a 5-star hotel job hunt me and I went for the interview. The position that offered me is Sales Manager (Rooms Sales). My interview does not go well and I surprised they offered me. The pay was $300 less than what i am earning now but they have flexi benefits of $625, medical benefits of $500 more. But working in a hotel cannot go back on time. I am in dilemma, should i reject the offer at hotel so that I can strive further to achieve my career in IT or should I forget about thinking to achieve my dreams and go back to hotel?Sorry, i am in dilemma & i need some opinions.

Hi, I am married with kids. I have been with the hotel line as an Event Sales Manager for the past 12 years of my life & I made the decision to leave 3 months ago after I found a career switch. It was early of last year when I felt that I want to make a career switch & my preference was in IT industry. I found out that IT makes a good career advancement as my one of my good friend switch from hotel to IT 10 years ago. It will still be within my expertise which is Sales. I found a job which is I'm currently now & the company offered me $1k more than what I earned from my last drawn salary. However, it is a recruitment firm handling IT & Telco portfolios. Nt much of a good benefits, only standard. The company has 9 Asia Regions, however in Singapore, there are only 2 persons. No office in Spore, we usually work from co-working space given & I can leave like 4pm or 5pm, definitely u will reach home before 6pm. Hqtr is in KL, hence the communication by skype. If i were to join back hotel, which means my desire of career switch will not be able to achieve. I will stay in a hotel forever doing Sales. If i am still striving to change my career in IT, i will have strive further to get the dream job that I want.
I am sorry - I am in dilemma and I need some opinions from other people.
