New job vacancies in hospitality industry
1. Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef / Chef de Partie- Responsible in overseeing the entire operations in the Restaurant's kitchen
- Perform food order as well as food preparation for events
- Familiar with all the activities of the kitchen and be prepared to do them
- Adhere to standard operating procedures for food quality
- Ensure the kitchen is compliant with the regulatory requirements for food handling, sanitation and cleanliness
- Guide a team of junior chefs
2. Security Officer
- Conduct inspection, monitor CCTV and patrolling on the resort compound
- Assist guests and staff for their requests for security assistance, and follow-up with the necessary
- Delegate and supervise the safety, security and fire evacuation operations from the hotel
- Investigate and follow up on reported security, emergency incidents of theft, injury, damage to property and any other matters
- Assist with luggage in the event there are insufficient bellman or when lobby is busy
3. Audio Visual Officer
- Provide AV support for the Banquet events and Food & Beverage outlets
- Maintenance and do minor repairs of the AV equipments
- Understand the AV equipments and is able to provide alternative solutions
- Ensure all AV equipments are set-up and ready before each events
4.Duty Engineer - Supervise and co-ordinate activities of the Maintenance Supervisor and Technician.
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedule with regards to all plants, equipment & facilities.
- Prepare monthly report, monitor expenses and attend HOD meeting as necessary.
- Manage and lead a team of technicians.
5. Account Officer (Account Payable cum Payroll)- Report to the Financial Controller/Senior Accountant and assists in the daily finance operation
- Handle Accounts Payable function including ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices/staff claims and payment to creditors/staff
- Ensure prompt payments to suppliers
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements for reporting
- Assist in formulating and implementing internal controls
- Perform other Accounts ad-hoc assignments
- Ensure compliance to GST and withholding tax regulations and timely reporting of withholding tax
- Assist in the statutory audit exercise and preparation of audit schedules
- Assist in the internal audit exercise, implement the audit recommendations and ensure compliance to internal control at all time
- Bank Reconciliation
- Responsible in payroll function for Rank-and-File staff
6. Account Officer (Income Audit)- Responsible for monitoring all transactions and cash flow accuracy of all operational departments
- Prepares daily and monthly reports for the management required for auditing
- Monthly cash count of floats
- Review all rebates and allowances and ensure they are properly authorized and to report all irregularities
7. Reservations Executive- Answer, receive, confirm and process reservations for the hotel.
- Assist in compilation of statistical data pertaining to room reservations.
- Handle reservations inquiries and ensuring all reservations information in all
correspondences and in the reservations system are accurate.
- Keep up-to-date rooms available for sale and changes in hotel room rates.
- Maintain and update a Reservation Request Form File.
- Assist to maximize room sales by up-selling.
- Handling of group booking - involving cut-off dates, blocking, accuracy of rates and booking policies.
- Ability to upkeep and familiarize with all special rates/offers/promotions and packages available in the Resort.
- Ensuring the processes and policies of GIF/FIT are adhered to.
- Efficient cooperation with the sales team on room bookings.
- Any other suitable tasks as and when assigned by Assistant Reservations Manager.
8. Assistant Housekeeper- Check on the cleanliness of rooms before releasing to the guests
- Assist in periodic planning of training programmes and facility inspections
- Assist in cleaning of guest room when necessary
