In Singapore, there are more 200k plus people who has more than USD1 million net worth. This number should rise to 400k plus by 2025.

There are about 1300 ultra high net worth individuals with net worth of more than USD 50 million.

If you work and plan from young, there is no issue to retire with a million net worth in the 50s or 60s.

The challenging part is to become ultra high net worth individual.

That said, there are many people who are not able to obtain the above.

27 yr old female, working in bank plus twitch streaming now and then, total plus my beauty sponsors bringing in about 10k-15k per month.

20k cash
1.5m in crypto (brought cardano way back in 2017, polygon and doge last year)
1.1m in stocks (about 90% total in both tesla and plug power, brought early last year)
Before that I invested mostly in just apple, bitcoin and ethereum back in 2015.

Hello everyone. Wow seeing everyone's networth here is really demoralizing lol..

I'm a 26 male and just graduated, and will be entering a job that pays me around $5000 per month, starting December. Sadly, after paying off my school fees and other obligations, I'll be left with close to $0 in my savings, but with no debt.

My obligations are around $3900 for whole-life insurance per year, and $200 per month in an Investment-Linked Plan. Unfortunately I have nothing in investments currently; it's one of the reasons why I have close to $0 in my savings, lost around $30,000 total screwing around with speculative plays and leverage trading crypto awhile back. Burned and a little scarred from investing/trading. Sigh.

I also have a house (BTO) coming in around 4 years with my partner, costing around around $450,000. In the meantime, I am living with my parents.

Does anyone have tips on how to go about "adulting"? Or rather, where should I go from here? The only thing I can think of is having a first aim of looking towards saving up or having a networth of $100,000 by 30, and hopefully retire by 50? But I think I'm being overly optimistic here.. Any advice would be great!

Dragging myself to work everyday.
The only happy thing is living in a comfortable property now (3000+ sqft 5 bedroom cluster house) but got to work to sustain this liftstyle.

39 years old male.
Local degree holder.
Worked for 15 years since graduated. Latest job started 5 years ago.

Cash : 20k
Property : worth 2.1m with 1m outstanding mortgage
Cpf: only a few k in ordinary as most are used for mortgage, medisave and retirement about 60 to 70k each.
No bonds or share, don't know all these.
Only have hospitalisation plan insurance, no saving insurance.

When can I retire?

Don't take all the posts here at face value. Many started off in the same situation as you with a loan to pay.

To achieve your objective, save up and don't get into investing yet if you are unsure.

It seems too easy to make money through investment via hyped up instrument. Many will talk about their gains but not losses. Those who made losses will probably keep quiet.
