20, just finished NS.
Only managed to accumulate 10k cash.
Can anyone advice me how can i manage this small amount in my next four years of university?
A lot of people seems to be real rich with their investments and stuff. Care to share some tips for a youngster? To say 'invest' is easy, but how exactly? There are just so many ways, and thinking of them and not doing anything is a waste of time i figured. Really appreciate some practical inputs instead of BS.

Possible.
SMEs don't get paid highly. Their industry is already in a risk by those MNCs coming in. And he may be pocketing 6 - 12 months bonuses to compensate for low basic salary. He may have commissions and 'allowances' too.
I have a friend in SME engineering firm getting only 3k+ basic. But his bonus is 15 months. He look poor when we compare monthly pay but owns a lot of my peers when comparing annual package.
Just some ways for a small company to get off with less tax.

Depends on what u want loh. If play safe just put FD, if u want to strike rich by the time finish school, the only way to make big money fastest is to play the stock market on margin or trade forex / warrant / CFD etc, but no guarantee of making money in this case.

I was in a similar situation as yours, not too long ago (a decade). ive invested for nearly 10 years. first, differentiate between savings and investments. money in the bank earning paltry interest is savings and are guaranteed. stocks, gold, property are Investments. be prepared to risk losing a hefty amount from your investment portfolio. at your age though, time is on your side. put your money in a global index fund - low fees, steady (but low to mid level) gains. don't risk money you need in your investments. but anything you have left, save it and invest it for long term. one day you'll find good use for that money. good luck
