If it was clear cut, then i do sort of agree it would be easier for parents just to say : GO and etc.
You made a good point about parents needing to make an offer but if this is so, the decision then is shifted to the kid who makes the decision.
In today's newspaper it was mentioned that 7500 kids defaulted on their parents CPF university loans ie to top back their parents CPF account after finding a job. It did not mention if the parents needed the money.
I am sure the kids have their reasons. And would love to hear more of their views.

They cannot default payment without parents approval. From what I know, some parents prefer to get paid by cash.

My take home pay is only about 3k.
I only have a diploma cert
I'm trying to look out for a higher paying job
Taking a degree is out for me at the age of 32, as i have family commitments like stay-home wife and kids to attend to.
I wanted to start a business, but don't know which to go for and have to consider the high startup cost.
Maybe as a broker or a property agent first?
I'm actually quite comfortable now even with a 3k job.
But i wish to have more.
Any tips or suggestions?

you don't sound like you are willing to work harder or make sacrifices.. besides you are happy with 3k.. you don't have much choice

I'm willing to work harder.
Thinking of starting a business to earn more.
Just want to know that - will becoming a broker or a property agent be earning more than what i do now in a consistent matter, as i got a family to feed.
I want to find out more, as the pictures are painted very rosy. Like property agents earning 10k per month and broker like Peter Lim....
I don't want to quit a job and jump into this line and regret later and not doing or perfoming well..
Family time is also important to me.

Starting business is not easy and need capital. May not able to generate return till a few years.
Not easy to make $10K/month as property agent but possible. It depending much on luck besides hardwork.
Email me is you are interested to start as PT agent to try out. Easy $$ is not guarantee, extra $$ is definitely possible.

Thank you for your kind offer. But with my current job in the SAF, can i still join as a part-time agent??
I'm very interested in property. Likes to meet up with new people and looking at other people's house.
(The above msg before my current reply is NOT from me) Thanks!

Such a pity for a thread with so many insightful post to get spammed. Would love to hear about recent updates from Whizzard and anoldanalyst.

Let me have the honor of revitalization with some prerorgatives. Looking to build my first million, anyone care to share - general suggestions so need not disclose sensitive info. Thanks!
