Very true.

Without a car, a house and no other assets to acquire, your savings can only accelerate as you grow in seniority in your job with corresponding salary increase.

Even for us as a family with 2 kids, we saw our savings rate accelerates after we turned 50. Financial commitment taper off while salary goes up. Powerful combination.

Not enough to retire well unless downgrade to hdb.

Out net asset is about same as yours, we are 3 years younger and property is a $2.5M FH terrace with $0.7M loan. Rest in liquid assets.

31yo with 340K in stocks, bonds, fd. Average return 2% + pa. How to further level up from here. At current pace of progression, hard to hit a million by 35.
