Insurance Underwriter
Dear forumers,
I'm intending to try out a vacancy for insurance underwriter (which was recomended by a friend's friend).
May i knoe wat is the potential per annum earnings (basic + bonus) as an insurance underwriter, probaly an estimate by years of experience, say for fresh grad, 3yrs, 5yrs, 7yrs and 10yrs experience?
I did a google check, but most payscale is either too vauge or it's in USD. It would not be appropriate to just convert it.
Hopefully those in the industry can contribute.
Thanks.

I'm also interested to know. Being in engineering sector for 6 yrs, i'm considering to switch to this sector. Getting my cert in general insurance now. Hopefully some people in the sector could advise.

My wife has worked in HR in some big insurance firms. Experienced underwriters make 10k++ and more if you underwrite special projects cos this needs specialized skills.
Actuaries make even more.
I wish i had studied actuarial science.
