Joining NEA or not...

Hi guys.

I need some advise and soon

Currently in a job thats offers 3000. Very stable
Of cos the salary is low

I was offered a job at NEA.
With a basic.salary of 3.7k along with the usual benefits which are relatively similar to my current job.

Generally i would like to join NeA
But i wanted to stay in my current company now to dec for aws.

Now NEA wrote back and saying they cant wait for me that long and rather have me start in this year 2017....saying stories like .oh...we want the new employee to get on board asap.

Like seriously why cant they wait 1 more month... they are putting me on the spot having to forgo my aws...just to join them. And they being rushing..also might paint the picture i will indeed have a rapid initiation when i join

Thus i seek this committee advise.
Should i join NEA in 2017 and forgo my current company 3k aws....
Or forgo the NEA job and continue to wait and apply

Don't join NEA..

I was in the exact situation a year ago.

HR like new staffs to join in Dec and tell them that NEA will pay their AWS PB blah blah blah ...

Once joined, the bunch of seniors from the section, behave like a group of idiots and treat you like a piece of dirt ...

If the section seniors don't like you, they will make your life there like a misery and chase you away by forcing you to resign ...

Then your AWS PB etc. all gone ...

The worst place to be at is NEA!!!

I always had the impression NEA was good...but guess not..

Lots of govt jobs which u can apply for in 2018. They would prob pay the same as NEA.

you will be silly not to join for the 23% increment for a mere 8% AWS

In year 2018 , the job market getting worse ...

If you are capable dun join NEA. Learn useful skills and move on to better companies.

If you are not that capable, have no connections,willing to suck up to colleagues and bosses , then join NEA.
