Default Career options for International Political Economy Grad

Hi all,

Found this rather attractive graduate programme at NTU called the MSc International Political Economy (Objectives | RSIS). I like the curriculum however I'm not sure about future career options. Anyone experienced in the field here can guide me on what career options I can realistically pursue and at what pay?

Thanks!

Most realistic salary range from $5 an hour to 4k per mth
$5 an hour at starbucks or macdonalds crew, but promotion to managerial role will be faster.
4k for grab and uber if you are hardworking.

On a serious note,
you can join the moe as humanities teacher if your bachelors degree is relavent
MFA country officer is your local uni bachelors degree has good honours
Freelance journalist writing political commentary

Generally This kind of programmes are for govt employees who get sponsorship for their studies. And for rich people who wants something fun and intellectually stimulating.

Unless your parents are rich or you yourself somehow do business and achieve financial independence already, don't waste time on this sort of useless degree.

The only real career option is to join some government related organization doing backend research work. Such positions are very little compared to the number of applicants. The moment you can't secure a job in this space your marketability is worse than even those on diploma.
