should be expecting 2k above related to your course of studies.
After a few years depending, 20-30% increment?

All "high paying" fresh grad dip wanna "share" how good remuneration they getting while those got offered 1.8k - 2k "paiseh" to speak up. Not all industries or departments are paying so well. As you can see the majority are not getting more than 2.5k. So when selecting jobs just try to be smart. Either you look hard or jump into the majority pool. Cheers.

My first job after NS is 1.5k, after probation get 1.8k, some months later 1.9k and eventually reach 2k near the end of my 1st year.
Then I got a local uni offer and starting to plan when to resign. But my manager suddenly tell us of his resignation so I decide to hide my "good news" to not shock him too much since he told me in private before of his plans for me to take over him 1 day.
Then 1-2 months later I reach my full 1st year and got a raise to 2150 and my manager (an NUS CS Honours grad) tells me about how the company will sponsor me to study part time SIM degree. It is there I broke the news I got into local uni and he goes sian but all the best since local uni is a good experience.
So the company go panic mode since that means only 2 IT staffs left (It's a 200-300 people SME) & within the same month raised 1 of my co-worker (diploma) pay from like 1.6k to 2.6k and our lead programmer (aussie degree) by a lot too (he didn't reveal)
Looking back at my university life, I seriously should take up the SIM part time degree sponsor offer. Local uni degree is overrated.
