Career prospects for GLCs
 
Hi can anyone share his or her experience as a management trainee in any of the following organizations?

Keppel: Capitaland : SMRT

What are the prospects of a 5-8 year long career in any of these employers?

Any info is appreciated. Thanks

As for me, I'm more interested to know about the prospects in Temasek and GIC.

Actually Keppel & CapitaLand are not really classified as GLCs. Prospects there would be quite similar to your typical MNCs.

GLCs would refer to mostly SMRT, Temasek, GIC etc They usually only hire the brightest (AKA best possible results) and usually the higher and more impressive your qualifications the better your prospects for those.

Kepcorp and Capland are GLCs. They are also called TLCs or Temasek-linked companies.

How can they not be GLCs when Temasek owns 21% of Keppel Corp and 40% of Capitaland!

hey i was offered a MT position with SMRT but got rejected after a week. The interview stages begins with a briefing invitation (whole day event). Final panel interview is by senior vp's. It was sad and somewhat unethical to offer and retract the offer. I feel ashame yet sadden by how their Talent Mgmt team and senior management makes decisions. Worst thing was they even congratulated me on the offer in the email.

Heard from the HR person that the management decided to review all 20 selected applicants. No reasons cited.

So now i'm hoping for othe GLCs instead. Bad experience for me.
