Sorry he sounds like dumb. Why should he learn web, android programming , data tuning etc?. He is working like an octopus. Thats is the reason he cant get higher pay elsewhere. He occupied himself with useless stuff. If i was him, i would reject everything that I am not interested and not part of my job. I dont think the PM can fired him since he cant get someone better outside with the limited budget. I would prepare enhance my skills further and look elsewhere.

I did it before and managed to secure a new offer with 100% increment.
I am sure my new offer is higher than my manager compensation. That is what you call quit with a style. Those dumbass manager deserves 0 respect.
