Why direct contract has grade too?
I though contract ends just get completion bonuses then nego on new package per market rate.
That's the advantages for contract staff as in having more bargain power.

I think maybe they consider those on direct contract as 1 year probation. If good performance and have headcount then convert to perm and continue as per normal.

Stayed here for 1 year so far want to jump to civil servant, any advice?
