Is it pointless for ppl working in CS and SME to have Linkedin since nobody will hire
Since their skillset is useless and non-transferable, having a linkeidn acc is useless?

linkedin is useful if you have useful skills. right now IT skills are in hot demand, i have been receiving linkedin inmails and cold calls almost weekly, offering up to 20% increment from current position. meeting up with 2 recruiters next week to find out more before agreeing to any interviews. recruiters are also desperate to "close sales" to earn commission.
