Perhaps it'll be better if you can list down your salary and increments from 2010 till present? Also include the years you've received MA and promotions.
At a rough guage, males with 4 years in Public sector should receive around that range (excluding scholars on programmes and other schemes such as IO, Legal, and Economist etc).

I am in the private sector and earning approximately 130k/year including all bonuses and allowances. I am thinking of switching to the civil service for personal reasons. What kind of position in the ministry or stat board can offer similar competitive package? I am 30 this year and does age play a part too in the remuneration package?

you have 4 years and 3 months of work experience
you graduated with a 2nd lower from NUS
your work is related to finance but there are not many openings in this area in CS
if you plan to work in a different field, you will start from scratch, just like your first pay was - $2884.
you can reconsider your decision.

The 2 posts above are about right,
around $95000 to $105000 by age 31 or 32 (assuming 5 months bonus, aws + growth + pb for B) for mx 11
around $130000 by age 35 or so, assuming promotion to Mx 10 and pb for B
if promoted to mx 9, around $180000 by 40, pb for B
note that there is a large variation around these figures: the higher you go the larger the pb, and there are special allowances which can make up to 6 months' salary

man the difference between diploma and degree scheme is absolutely sick!
and the govt still dares to tell us that they are adjusting the pay gap for workers without degree. after reading the majority of posts here, i conclude most of u here must be semi to full millionaires.
i've got 2 questions to ask...
1) how did u get into MX job / scheme? thru careers@gov? i dont see many / no vacancies there for fresh degree graduates. does MX scheme accept graduates from unisim?
2) any1 knows is the pay scheme for HTSS (Home Team Specialist Scheme) similar to MX as well?
