Just got an offer for MX position. Mid career entrant with about 3 years relevant experience and postgrad qualification. Offer was for MX12, base salary of $4900. The ceiling for MX12 is the higher end of 5000++.
Job scope wise, it is rather different from what I was doing.
What are my chances of getting promoted to MX11 if I performed average/good?
Does this also mean that my current CEP is low?

28 years old, no NS.
Honours class I and post-grad qualification. Both done at overseas universities (QS ranking lower than NUS, higher than NTU)

You're somewhat similar to my current situation, except that you've gotten a better deal ($100 more) than I have.
Male, NS, 2nd upper from NUS. 3 years experience in public sector, jumped to another Ministry.
