I have had many painful hours vetting and amending crappy minutes from my staff (who are uni grads). Going by the way they write, you'd think some of them were doing transcripts!
I'm the original commenter, and I just want to clarify that I do appreciate what it's like to draft proper minutes, which are not ad verbatim notes. I just feel that it can be classified as mundane stuff since it takes up a lot of time, while we have 24 hours deadline for the minutes to be drafted and approved by minister. It is important, cuz it will be taken as evidence of certain agencies agreeing to do certain work and so on...

On vetting ur staff minutes... Well I guess u just need to train your staff more? I'm not sure of the dynamics at ur work place, but my boss actually went through my first ever minutes to point out what is wrong and what should be done so that I would not make the same mistakes again... Of course some staff are just plain oblivious...

After reading the last few posts, start having an impression that MX stands for professional Minutes-taking eXecutive. :P

Default PB

Ministry. MX(2008) scheme. MX11. got a C grade (1.75 mths).

can share your PB grade and quantum with MX grade as well?

Anyone has any idea what the merit increment will be? For my case (MX11), i am guessing $360 in April.

Wow, $360 is equal to how many % of your base salary??

How much is your current basic salary?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eg, Assume if your basic salary is $5000, then $360 increment will be equivalent to 7.2% increment!!! and that is even only for a "C" grader!!!!!..

Then B and A grade will get 8-9% an 10-12% increment respectively??? That is damn alot!!!!

It really is a lot. I guess that is because this person has taken super high quality zero-error meeting minutes.

Just wanted to ask two questions cause im kinda new to civil service. The following questions are in respect with the job scheme "TSO", Technical Support Officer

(1)Other than D , C- , C, C+, B, A, are there are other performance grades?

(2)What are the various amounts for these gradings? (e.g. 0.85 months)

1) Shld be A, B+, B, C+, C, D and E
2) Base slightly lower than MX e.g. for C = 1.5 (MX), C = 1 (TSO)
