haha, just to ask, are u male or female?? yes my degree is from ntu. but most of my frens are getting 3.2k so i think its a bit hard? the most i could do is tell them to offer me what the statboard wanted to offer me..

Bad choice.. You should have went to NUS/ NTU to get your degree... Think most ministries will not recognize your distance learning degree from a private school.. You can only try for stat boards... they are a little more lenient with their recruitment standards.. but these days when everybody has a degree, likelihood they will choose the candidate with the best degree.. Your chances are slim to nothing in the government sector...

Get more relevant HR experience (2-3 years maybe) in the private sector then try to get into Ministry or Stat board. Your call center agent experience is not relevant.

The economic outlook is uncertain and many people are seeking safe haven in civil service for the stability. Looking to get into civil service now, you will face a lot of competition from others seeking the same, good luck to those who want to get in. Plenty of applications for every single vacancy now.

apply for teachers loh. the demand for teachers is very high right now, more than 2000 vacancies. i have many friends who are teachers, some teaching in jc, some sec and some pri. for those jobs with only 1 vacancy, u really need to be damn outstanding in order to stand up among all the other candidates. u could be competing with 100 of candidates over 1 position.
