Yes; was told to be conservative and count 1 month each, but even counting 16th months it's not quite there.

same here, but felt wasted that we waited so long and ended giving up. Are you taking up the offer?

Not going to lie, it feels quite disappointing after waiting for so long and when you finally receive a it's just... This. But don't fall for sunk cost fallacy haha.

At this point in time, all signs are pointing to a "no". I'm always wary of including bonuses when considering total compensation as it's not 100% guaranteed. The only big plus point would be the stability, which is why I was thinking if I wanted to and could stay here for the rest of my life.

Civil servant here. Something to think about before joining: does the current role make you marketable if you decide to leave? (Yes, rare, but it exists - look harder, e.g. mas, iras, edb can value add your CV depending on your role)

Yes, in CS you can stay there forever - but what if you no longer want to? What if your current boss is replaced by a total idiot? Keep your options open (even gg into the future). Nothing is worse than wanting to quit, and realising that you cant because you dont have the skillset for anything else.

Those on PSLP are given an allowance (the higher your current grade, the higher allowance), on top of their annual salary. This is paid out in two tranches every half a year. In return, you may be given additional projects on top of your current work. Your career will also be tracked more closely the service. As for how fast you move, it is also dependent on your performance.
So all the scholars start with PSLP then they get allowance + a higher salary compared to other fresh grads?

No, you don't automatically get to be on PSLP, scholar or not. You have to earn it with your work performance.

Not all scholars get PSLP - only a select group starts with PSLP

There are criteria to cross the salary bar after 10,773; it's not automatic. Think need to get 2 C+ in a row, but better to check with your HR.

Do you know what these criteria are? I have been on MX10 for 2 years now. First year, I got B+ and second year got an A. I’m about $400 away to hit the first ceiling, so just wondering what happens when it’s hit.
