First piece of advice....... Don't join civil service... unless you fit into the following :
1. Possess 1st Class honors degree from a reputable university --> faster promotion...
2. No ambition to succeed in life... ---> Just want a cushy job to slack, shake leg, read newspaper..
3. Just want to pass time...

private sector in NOT stable at all, FT, kanna mark for Reservist thingy/retrenchment....very stress...got customer good appraisal but boss yet doesnt show any appreciation give you average grading...etc...+ very lousy increment in private sector........cant even hit 3.9k in 5 years with 1 promotion
I prefer more stable/work-life balance/nice increment/more relax..no FT, support reservist thing...etc in civil service

thank u for the reply.. i guess sometimes it's the passion and what one wants in life. Do u have any info about stat boards? Like WDA and CPFB? Especially salary and stuff, cos money and passion may have conflicts sometimes
in a dilemma now

Dun waste time.. Your degree is not very recognised in civil service.. Even if they let you in, you can be assure that promotion and opportunities are given to the scholars from prestigious unis...
