I suppose the last sentence is most true. Where I work, for mx11, c graders get around 350, b graders get around 400-450, b+ ard 450-500. I said norm is 350 because I'm taking c grade to be the norm.

Noticed nearly all of you here are degree holders.

I'm a chem eng diploma holder, currently working in the pharma lab and thinking of switching environment to do an admin job instead.

It seems that only the civil/public sector is willing to hire candidates with irrelevant qualifications and lack of experience.

Question is... If it were you, would you be willing to take a $500 (pay of a freshie dip holder) pay cut (per month w/o factoring in bonuses), to take up a civil/public sector which you are interested in, in this case, HR, which is fairly easy to be employable with enough experience after a few years.

Intending to do a part time degree and go into the private sector after that when I have both the qualifications and experience since the civil/public sector and stat boards may not favor part time qualifications.
