Hi all, just wondering how is the career trajectory for PSC scholars like? How's their starting salary for tech related domain? If put on PSLP means very fast career growth? Assuming you get offered PSC scholarship and maybe DSTA/ DSO/Smart Nation scholarship, which would you guys take, considering factors like skills gained, career growth, and skills transferability? Thanks

The real answer is that it depends on your Boss and HOD. Isn't it? (what other answers do you expect, really)

Really congrats! May I know which course of study? I FCH from humanities but cannot secure any CS interview. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Could it be my lack of internship in CS? But I did not apply for CPF or MOM.
I don’t know about CPF, but my aunt from MOM and the welfare benefits there looks good.

Hi same poster from earlier.
Graduated with an economics degree, but have undertaken a CS internship in my final year. I think that helped immensely as it provided relevant talking pointers, but also I believe helped with clearances?
Could you share more about MOM benefits?

Go for MOM. Ministries are generally better in terms of salary and benefits, especially when compared with CPF.

Opinions
Hi guys,
Need some valuable opinions. I'm a 40yo female who has been in the legal industry (pte sector) for the past 12 yrs. Earning 4k pm. Have been in the same firm for all these yrs and now I'm deciding to try the public sector (PS). Reason being now is Covid-19, lesser cases so easier for me to start searching for a new career. My current job has no benefits whatsoever, not even 13th mth (not getting bonus for the past 4-5 yrs). Plus side is I can WFH (only go office once a week) boss nvr disturb me and so long I complete my work they are not bothered. Should I leave? Is it greener on the other side? I do am attracted to the PB, mid and year end bonus, benefits, etc in PS.

there's no harm in applying and see the offers first...
Don't restrict only MinLaw or AGC, can try other agencies which might need enforcement or related roles.
