I worked my ass off through the entirety of my polytechnic education, and part-timed during university. Also worked full time for a year of internship as part of a work-study program with fair amount of OT. It is really damn tiring to utilize every single cell in your brain for 12-16 hours a day on ends especially in the IT field.

I wish you all the best, but I really am not just looking for a 'rosy' path in life. As long as I have options I will do my best to evaluate them and make an informed decision. This has nothing to do with being picky. I've thrown out hundreds of resumes and done countless of interviews and assessments not just to pick the first offer available just because life should be hard and I should purposely throw myself to sharks teeth for the sake of knowing how hard it could be.

Understand where you're coming from. A lot of lawyers work like this, 365 days a year, 24/7, without using any of their leave entitlement. Very prone to divorce if they even get married. They have life in their body just to do their work it seems.

Can understand if they love their work or have passion. But that guy slamming me just because he has his own 'superior professionalism and work ethics' by devoting his entire life into his career, is really damn uncalled for.

I don’t see what’s wrong with having a proper work life balance as long as it doesn’t affect the quality of your work. That’s professionalism as well.

On the contrary, even if you have lots of face time/visibility with poor quality of work. I’m pretty sure your boss will be upset? Lol.

unlike some banks, public sector will offer you by month.

I don't think so.

Assuming they gave you 12 month + AWS (1) + 2.5 month = 60k
You should take 60k / 15.5 = $3,870 / month

Actually I don't think the 2.5 months is included. PB varies according to grades no?
