Curious to know. Anyone has an idea of the current salary range for a FCH from NUS in the civil service sector (engineering)?

Don't have anymore. Due to headcount freeze, my impression is that most people are handling what used to be the workload of 2-3 ppl. I may b wrong, but there seems to be a shift from emphasis on work life balance in support of families to achieving maximum KPIs nowadays.

Fyi specialist schemes like the Foreign Service Scheme pay bonuses differently. So even assuming the monthly pay is the same (which is not possible), they would have a larger annual package.

Also, these specialist schemes can get salary adjustments across the board without having to wait for civil service wide pay adjustments.

how is the work life balance in MFA like? I have heard that it can get quite atrocious
