Any one here is from MOE? Can you change to a non-DBS account to credit your salary into? Who does this admin? is it VITAL or MOE?

Superscale salary starts at $16k pm.
I recalled there was a debate in parliament about MP's allowance and our DPM explained that it was tied to the starting salary of a superscale officer in CS, and that was $16k pm.
Let me try and find that article. It is probably still in the web somewhere.

No it doesn't. It's already clear from the salary ranges given earlier that superscale (now MX9 onwards) starts from 11k plus. I remember the debate in parliament too. It's tied to a certain superscale grade, not the entry grade, I believe. There are many grades in superscale too.

Hi all,
would like to know which MX rank would a Deputy Director in a local university be? MX10 or MX9?

considering entry MX9 - DD level at $11k+
full year including 4-5mths bonus will equate to roughly S$187k p.a.
is that really superscale? if so, SAF equivalent would be say LTC or SLTC rank??

Should i wait for public service job offers?
Hi everyone,
I am keen to join the public service as a fresh graduate this year with first class honors. However i am offered 4k from pte sector this week and i have to make a decision on accepting the offer soon.
I like to ask about the difficultly of me securing a graduate job this year in economic ministries like Spring, EDB or MOF.
Furthermore, is it common for people to make the jump from pte sector to public service successfully in terms of job applications?
Thank you!

Accept the offer because you wont know if you can get other offers at this point in time. I believe you applied for this role because you have an interest.
You have to ask why do you want to be in the public service?
I have been in the pte sector since graduation in 2012. I personally do not like the environment in public service. I have friend in public service, 1st class honours, regretted joining the public service. He is too fearful to leave now because he has not been learning much but yet the salary is good.

How good is his salary? As compared to him, are you better paid than him?
