Probation and annual increment
Hi, I'm working in a stat board now, would I have any chance of getting an increment in April if my probation contract only ends a couple of months later?
If I won't be entitled to the annual increment, is there normally a raise to make up for that upon confirmation? Thx in advance.

hi, i am currently working in a govt linked company as a snr manager and am contemplating a move into a ministry/stat board. i am recently invited to an interview for a principal/snr manager role in a stat board and i have some questions that i'd like some clarity:
1) may i know the difference between a senior manager/principal manager/asst director?
2) wat is the pay scale of a principal manager? - i'd imagine this is a higher tier compared to a snr manager and would be something i'd like to gun for in this instance.
3) in the scheme of things, is a principal/snr manager equivalent to a MX11?
some context, been working in the same function for about 12 years, am completing my masters (part-time) in ntu in a couple of months.
thanks in advance!

thanks so much for this.
Sometimes i get very confused with the ranking at stat boards. i was told that a manager is actually an entry level job for fresh grads. hence i wasn't sure if a principal manager means much at all (after working for so many years la). lol.

Nope those are Job Titles. Typically, Dir>DD>AD>SM>Mgr>AM>Snr Exec>Exec.
the nomenclatures may have some difference from ministry to ministry.
job grades refers to ministry scheme of service. The most common one is MXO (MX16 to MX5) - MX16 being the lowest from what i know.

In my ministry, Asst Mgr (MX13) is entry level for fresh grads. Typically after a year, the temp entry level will be emplaced to perm and with that auto emplaced into Mgr (MX12). Normal peasants mebbe need about 5 years to promote to Snr Mgr (MX11). The speed of later promo after this will be dependent on CEP liao
