There is a difference in starting salary, but no difference in progression, diff in progresion is between scholars and farmers.
If you take average $250 increment per year. Eg, if starting pay at 3.5k, it will be around 14/15 years.

That's assuming you don't get promoted.

I'm an average farmer, took me 5 years to hit $6k from 3.6k. Currently MX11.

i think thats pretty fast.

i am from private sector cross over to stat board 2yrs ago mx11a, promoted to mx10 this year.
35 yr old.

looking around me, i think mx11 6k at 29 yr old is pretty fast.

Also, I understand that there is a huge difference in progression between a scholar and a non-scholar. However, is there any difference in progression between a fch and a second upper ? Thanks much.

3.8K for 2nd uppers? Wow! Thatís way above market rate for this covid economy. Wonít take as long as most to reach 7k as starting salary is important for civil service. Especially as pay raises are not very generous.

3.8k is actually quite high, normally 3.8 range is FCH, talking about non specialized track. Different if u under special scheme

3.8k for starting pay as normal (non-specialised) farmer MX is very high. Must be NS plus FCH plus the HR is generous.
