Does anyone have info on the pay structure and career advancement in Monetary Authority of Singapore? I have about 7 years of compliance experience with stock broking houses. I'm keen to join MAS' Capital Market Intermediaries Department. I have a pass degree from NUS and have completed ACCA. My current pay is about S$4,300 per month excluding bonus.

Anyone knows what is the annual pay for a MA just accepted into the admin service in the fourth or fifth year of his career, ie. fourth or fifth year after graduation? I am drawing about $9k a month and was wondering if an AO would earn more than that. Thanks.

Obviously I am not a MA, otherwise I wouldn't have to ask on this forum.

i do not think you should join the AO scheme for the money. If you want money, then you should remain in the private sector and save the public sector from potential embarressments from hiring the wrong person.

Except for President and top PSC scholars, e.g SAFOS and SPF overseas, the rest join as MA first, before being promoted to AO.
