I'm a Y3 NUS student, does anyone know if not doing a summer internship in Year 3 will affect my employment chances in the civil service? I actually got one but it was suspended because of the coronavirus. I did do a summer internship in Year 2 though. Also, I'm a FCH with several academic prizes if that matters. :(

Edb n mas r statboards while mti is a ministry. The former 2 has the flexibility to change the compensation packages while the ministry usually follows to the psd guidelines for the mx scheme strictly.

Hard to assess. It depends on CEP also. Based on personal experience v few have the ability to cross the glass ceiling and those who do have v strong support from the bosses. Even then the ones that I know who did took around 4 to 5 years of good performance before getting promoted to mx12. In all it took around 10 years for one of my colleagues to advance from mso6 to mx12.

But once u are on the scheme for mx12 n above u might find ur promotion prospects slightly faster.

Is a CEP of 8 considered low, medium or high?
