LTA Asst Manager
Hi!
Fresh grad, female, 2nd upper, NTU.
How much can I expect if I join LTA as an asst manager (policy side, non-technical)? Tried to check the salary on glassdoor but the range was very wide (3k-5k) so it's quite hard to gauge.
Also, I understand that there can be pay differences for technical vs non-technical role so my expectations are quite realistic.
Thanks in advance, will appreciate your input!

talk with common sense, and not daftness pls.
how many fresh grads that u know of can join CS as MX12?
even the mid-career ones i've come across who join as MX12 immediately in the CS possess specialised skillsets or internationally recognised certs such as CFA / CPA / CoC Deck Class 1 / CoC Engine Class 1.
or unless your surname is Lee and u happen to be promoted to Brigadier-General before 35yo...

was offered under 4 last year for a AM in a non-tech role - guess the range is around 3.6 - 3.8?

fresh grad 2nd upper should be 3.6 plus minus.
there are 2 grads for AM in LTA, you will still be AM after you promote once.
that explains the big gap

i agree its extremely rare for a mx13 to 11 in jus 2 years
but for mid career (assuming 30 to 40 yr old), it is very reasonable to join as mx11.
i have 2 joinees (1 from private) in feb this year mx11 at age 36. i join as mx11a at 34 (from private)

Thanks so much for addressing my queries! Would you be able to share more on the work culture, work load and environment at LTA for non-tech AM roles? I'm not too sure what to expect, as I heard it's really just an entry level role.
I'm also sitting on another offer from another SB which is offering me 3.4 but work life balance looks good (solid 9-6) and job scope is very light...so trying to weigh my options properly before i forego one for the other. I did also hear LTA may comprise last min deployment and weekend work occasionally, is this true?
Thanks in advance to you/any one else who can offer relevant input!

You think can reach MX9 by 40? Is there a possibility that CEP is MX8?

2014: MX 12

2017: MX 11A
2018: MX 11A
2019: MX 11 A
2020: MX 10 (Age 35: Gross 9000)
Current age 35 and reached MX 10 within 9 years of joining civil service. Thinking if I should take on another career or carry on with current job. Not sure of CEP and if can hit MX9. Any advice from kind souls on the progression of the career so far?

Anyone who's been in the service for long enough, care to share how badly the pay increment was affected back in 2009/2010?
Worried this year will have the 0.1 bonus equivalent of pay increment.

Worrying won't change anything. Be glad you have a job
