Hi, anyone knows if non-teaching staff in independent schools are considered civil servant and entitled to bonuses given by MOE i.e. civil servant bonuses, VB, etc.? Thanks.

2018 - joined CS (ungraded as passed grading window)
2019 - promoted; B grade
2020 - promoted; B grade

Looking for a new job, can demand for higher pay in SB? If yes, about how much?

4k sounds about right, esp given the current job climate.

Dsta is known to pay high. So definitely ask NEA to match!!

Technical role

Hi, I am offered a MX12 for a slightly technical role

I Was from SIMGE-RMIT business management, with 3years relevant experience in the IT side of things. From what I read so far, my degree is not advised to go into the civil service.

Can anyone give em a rough gauge of the pay I can expect?

Mas

Oh I always thought mas is one of the hardest to get in. Is the prospect good? Can go where after that?

if u want comfortable job with decent prospects and iron rice bowl, join and STAY in the civil service (CS). especially now with all that news about coronavirus worldwide, dow jones dropping, economic recession, PAP paycuts blablabla...

MX12 salary range is about 4k (starting) to 6k (ceiling).

just take it if they offer u since ur from private uni n only 3 years exp.

the only problem i foresee is that IT dept in CS is quite sh1tty, esp if u are doing those server side, repair n maintenance of CS staff's PC. the ratio could be 1500:1 IT staff

You cannot compare with defense agencies like DSTA, CSIT, DSO as they are on a different scheme.
