What is the potential starting salary for signing on as senior officer in SCDF for a local uni masters scholarship holder (with a high 2nd upper bachelors from local uni too)?
Considered up there in terms of CPE in SCDF? Will get the upper level of starting pay (e.g. $4.5 gross)?
I have a year of experience in stat board before quitting to do masters - previous pay was about $3.5 gross...

civil service generally do not pay for masters unless the masters is relevant and required by the job. they might measure it as a year of experience, or may totally disregard it in their offers.
they should benchmark you on the 2nd upper level, then top up experience as they deem fit. if you are quite fresh (exp < 3 years) they might quote you entry level salary. sadly, a uni scholarship maybe help you in signalling competency and giving you an edge above other applicants - but they won't place you on their scholarship's ROA, for sure.
however SCDF should pay a premium because of the uniform group status, and should also have with a risk-premium due to the nature of the job. I guess there should be at least 4.5k?

Hello, just a question here. Has anyone attended the interview for Ministry of Environment and Water Resources (MEWR)? If yes, can anyone share your experience like how the written test is carried out or the interview questions asked? Tried searching it online but I couldn't find much information about it.. as compared to interviews for other ministry i.e MOE teacher.

I suppose they will have an essay session. MEWR is a Low tier ministry so should be easy to get in. Don’t worry

Thanks for the help. Do you (or anyone else) have an idea of how the essay/written test is usually like? I'm not hoping for much so the tier doesn't matter to me for now!

Annual increment LTA
Hi, i just passed my first year in LTA. My boss told me I am likely to be banded 5 but no promotion yet. Anyone know what kind of increment I can expect (in terms of percentage)? I am currently a grade 9.
Just trying to motivate myself after the 0.1 bonus. haha.

Is this Learning Lab a tuition centre?
I think I have heard of it before. They pay decent salaries for tuition centres, I think teachers get a starting salary of 3.8k? That is good salary for tuition.
