I worked at the learning lab and drew a salary 4.5k as teacher from 25-28. After i got sick of tuition, then I went to civil service and drew 4k believe it or not, MX scheme, back in 2014.
Currently, I am earning twice my salary in the learning lab after 5 years if pb and bonuses are included.

By the way, another colleague of mine from the learning lab with 2:1 also joined with one year experience same as me back then. He got 4000 too. So civil service doesn't care about the learning lab salary or previous experience in our cases.
Now he drawing 6k or so.

In between mx10 and mx11 there is also a qualifying mx11a
Never heard or seen anyone jump from a 11 to a 10. But I might be wrong.
IMO civil service for grades 11,12,13 are outdated and many are stuck at mx12 and 11.
