Yes to HWS. But also understand that salaries in Singapore are also depressed compared to US. Obviously if Iím able to be placed on overseas grad expat package itís very favourable but not counting on that. Looking to do consulting, hedge fund/ pe, tech after coming back.

Have you spoken to your civil service RO about opportunities post MBA? They might be able to get you a good placement (PSLP) if you have decent work performance.

Thinking of transferring to another MS. How to go about?
Anyone here transferred within Ministries before?
Any changes to your salary? (If yes......how many % difference?)
Or no change at all.....

Do they conduct employment checks on ALL past employers or only with the most recent company?

Increment linked to performance and promotion (which is also linked to performance).

Performance is appraised.

I have seen an example of an average performer, taking up key hardship appointment that no one wants, hinting to quit unless he was promoted and got it. Because at that point in time, the officer was deemed indispensable. But I guess the ability to tahan hardship is considered a kind of performance.

Reasonable for a farmer / 2nd tier Scholar. Otherwise, you should consider leaving the service as you won't go far (your CEP would be max DD (or if lucky enough, a D).
