Stage zero is that the director screens your CV to see if you qualify for the qualifying test. Tough days. But i heard they pay well as a specialised service.
MFA is tough too.

Dont want to rain on anyone’s parade but virtually everyone who gets through to the end has FCH. 2:1s are rare in these schemes.

i think most specialised scheme are designed to be hard, otherwise why would they pay like near 5k for FCH. Other civil service MX FCH only gets around 3.8-4.4k (in forum's range).
I think Foreign Service has an assessment centre consisting from 4-5 rounds from English test to presentation skills to Translation skills, and stress test designed for working like FO.
Haha, they are tough and the job is tough too. So kudos to them!

I know this, my friend applied for it.
Need at least 2.1 Econ degree to be considered for the written test
2.5 hrs written test covering technical Macro, Micro and Econometrics and General Qs
2 rds of technical interview.
Was told that its very technical, like a verbal applied econometrics exam and they go into details of deconstructing your thesis. The best is cannot smoke because the panels are academia and professional econometricians.
It’s a very technical role anyway.

Not to be an ahole but it ranges from 2.5k - infinity.
Tell us your profile so that we can estimate.
Profile includes: uni, degree outcomes (pass/ class of outcomes) age, gender, experience, type of roles.
For example:
NUS FCH Freshgrad M 25 = 3.8k-4.2k
