How old are you now? Do you mean you studied part time SIM which is why you have 2 years of working experience by 2016.
What is your current annual salary now?

I was from sim uol (not even a 2nd upp class). We will always be at disadvantaged by govt sector.
I ended up in a global MNC in 2016 (after 2 years of working experience) with starting annual of 70k to 80k.
Go to where you are valued.

EDB would be one of the better paying statboard, probably slightly below/comparable with defense/engineering agencies like DSTA and uniformed service.
For senior lead role in EDB, salary range would be quite large, depending on years of experience prior to joining and relevant experience. Range could be from high 4k to low 8k.

Would like to ask the “job market” of civil service. Have been heard from a top management of stat board telling the staff to go cos of excessive headcount in gov service so there won’t be much opportunities in gov sector. Anyone can advise?

Anyone have any idea where's the best paying in the whole of government? Heard Statboards pay the highest compared to ministry.
