Annual Increment & Promotional Increment
Hi guys, I would like to enquire about the AI and PI for farmers in Civil Service MX scheme.
1.) Whats the average AI (if its performance depended, assuming C) every year. Some reference across years would be nice.
2.) Whats the percentage of increment for promotions say 13 -> 12 -> 11 respectively. This is not factoring in the AI.
Thank you all kindly.

1) Are you currently working as a civil servant?
2) How long have you been working?

Ntu mechanical Pass with Merit. 10 years ago. Fresh Grad with civil service and drew 3.3k. Wow, the market must be doing really badly for them to offer 3.1k for 1st class.

Do noted why DSTA offer higher paid. Some projects can only be done by Singaporeans, hence the limited pool of workers they can draw on force them to paid high. A number of skills you learned are not transferable should your decide to move to private sector. DSTA will not blacklist you. They want to get as many Singaporean engineers as possible and can't be picky. My classmate got in with only a pass degree from NTU engineering.

Agree. The skill sets and experience you get at DSTA may not be really transferable beyond ST companies. You will do more project management than anything, but not that type of project management people in the private sector do. It's more of "paper" project management. That is also why DSTA pays a lot for starting salary. People there reach a plateau fast after 4 - 6 years, but are unwilling to work elsewhere for lower salary. That's how they "sucked" you in and attempt to keep you there.

MX14 wanna reach MX11? Dream on! MX14 is for diploma holders. You'll be really lucky if you manage to reach MX12 near to your retirement! For comparison, degree holders start at MX13 and are promoted to MX12 after a year. And most of them will end up at MX11. So what makes you think you have a chance to reach MX11? Unless you are super exceptional and better than most of the degree holders.
