Compare civil service salary

Just got an offer with grade 12 and salary 5*** from ministry. Shall I ask for grade 11 as the salary has exceeded the mid range of the grade 12 bar. Thanks for advise.

With the same salary, which grade is better to the future? Any impact to the incremental if I accept the grade 12? Thanks

It depends. Mx11 is considered as a senior grade, so expectations are higher which means it's more difficult to get a good performance grade.

Grade 11 better definitely - pay ceiling bar higher increment higher ma

Doubt there will be, last overall adjustment in 2011, with 11a in 2012. Not likely until 2018/19.

Last two revisions were: +5% Aug 2014, +5% Feb 2012. But the slowing global economy might mean that they don't see a need to increase pay this year.
