Town Council's are not under the Civil/Public Service.

Most Town Council's I know are under this company called EM Services.
They are a private company tasked to run the Town Council's.

I just joined a Ministry from a statboard. How much increment do Ministry civil servant get per year?

I really regretted my decision. I didn't know my statboard gave me a much higher increment than what the Ministry offered me. Now, just few days into my job and I feel like going into the private sector already.

Depends on your CEP and performance grade.

Could you elaborate? Are you referring to the 2015 increment which you received in apr from The ministry vs what you typically receive at the stat board for prior years?

Does anyone know how the progression is like for the economist service? Is it easy to get promoted? What are the salary ranges?

Thank you very much!

The progression is available on their website. If you are scholar, you may eventually be promoted to lead economist or higher if you are lucky; Otherwise, senior economist is probably the max you can go.

Salary wise, no MX scheme can match it. While there isn't much room for promotion, the income ceiling should be substantially higher than the MX's ceiling for a typical non-scholar.

Have you passed the written test?

hi I work as a trader in a bank... Graduated in 2012 with a 3rd class honors. Still single, paying condo Mortgage.

Currently drawing 200k per annum all in, but it's getting too stressful and I can't enjoy my life.

Looking to join civil service so I can leave on time, what pay grade should I aim for? Willing to take 20k pay cut to 180k per annum which should be comfy for my lifestyle now.

Also which stat board should I apply?

Don't mean to be condescending, but with 3rd class honours you probably won't even get an interview. Not to mention about getting a cushy job that pays 180k per annum. Considering the normal 15 months package, that works out to be $12k per month. Only Dir level can get that kind of money, and it certainly isn't something anyone can just hop onto.

If you are not trolling, best to stay on your current job. For god's sake, invest those moolahs you have, and retire young.
