Wow! There is someone who thinks that starting right at the bottom has an advantage over someone who is been given a higher rank?

Generally speaking, which ministries/ sbs offer the best work-life balance?
I don't care that much about titles and pay, but I would like ample time to pursue my personal interests outside work.

Heard environment is quite ok.. Pay I guess should be similar to other civil service.. Are you applying for a position there?

Yea. About to grad soon n came across a suitable position from psd... Nvr really noticed them before cos I didn't know they look for grads like me... But I wonder if they pay a premium for the position anot. Cos my field is considered specialized and can command a slightly higher pay in certain stats board

PSD mainly deal with the overall HR aspects of Civil Service, so I'm not sure if that's considered specialised enough like the economist scheme etc.
Why not just give it a try if you are interested? A friend I know recently went for a first round session with them where they had to complete an essay and a tea session (more like informal group chat) where you can ask and find out more about the work they do.
